FIVE ELEMENT YIN YOGA: A 5-Session Course
In each class we will be working one separate element of the Taoist Five Element system: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water – which corresponds to specific organ pathways (meridians), seasons and seasonal qualities and emotional wisdom.
Yin yoga is a slow and more relaxed method of yoga practice that goes beyond the muscles and work into the deeper layers of the body and mind.
The slow and focused nature of the practice offers an excellent space not only for recovery and nervous system regulation, but also as a purification for the mind.
THE SESSIONS
Session 1: wood (spring)
Organ pairs in focus: liver and gallbladder
Session 2: fire (summer)
Organ pairs in focus: heart and small intestine
