Ashtanga – Foundations
A guided class where we practice a modified Ashtanga sequence step by step, and repeat the basics of the practice from time to time.
Ashtanga – Foundations+
A natural step forward for those who already have been to a few Ashtanga Yoga classes.
Here, you will learn to go deeper into meditation, listen more closely to yourself and your body, and begin to develop a sustainable practice.
Parts of the session are guided verbally, while other parts you do at your own pace with visual support and guidance from the teacher.
You don’t need to know the sequence by heart, rather this is where you start to become more comfortable with it.
Ashtanga – Personal Practice with Guidance (Mysore)
This is the traditional Ashtanga Yoga practice.
You practice at your own pace and receive individual guidance during the session.
You don’t need to know the sequence by heart—you’ll be supported along the way.
A calm and personal way to practice and develop in a smaller group, allowing your practice to stay alive and in tune with your lifestyle and life situation.
Here, both strength, calm, and softness are cultivated.
Ashtanga Led Class – All levels
A drop-in class for all levels of practitioners. The selected asanas may very a bit from time-to-time as we tailor the practice for the whole room, on the fly. We cover what is necessary for the group, but we avoid repeating the fundamentals too often in these classes. Complete beginner = please join 10-15 minute before the class starts, for a nice Ashtanga Yoga introduction in short. Many times it’s necessary, many time’s it’s not.
Practice Path
There are a few different ways to start practice:
- Beginner Series -> Mysore classes
- Fundamentals -> Fundamentals+ -> Mysore classes
- Fundamentals -> Mysore classes
The idea is that you get introduced to the practice, and then after a short while you start joining the Mysore classes for the traditional teaching method, where you get in tune with your body on a whole deeper level.
