Is this you?
You want to start a yoga practice, but:
– you don’t know where to start
– or you have tried, but not gotten any good foundation of the basics
– you’re unsure if you’re doing it right
– feels like everybody else are much more advanced
– you don’t want to simply guess if you’re doing it right
Maybe you even feel a bit stiff or sluggish in the body, and want to revive the feeling of lightness and energy.
Already practicing yoga?
You’re welcome to repeat and deepen your foundations.
You don’t need to be “ready”
You don’t need to know anything beforehand, and you don’t need to “get in shape first”.
We start building your practice from the ground up, so that it feels like you know what you’re doing.

A Saturday with a clear direction
You learn a traditional sequence of yoga practices, that becomes the base for your continued practice with us, or on your own at home.
You get:
– a clear introduction to breathing, movement and focus
– an understanding of how the practices are tied together
– tools to continue practicing with us, or on your own
Small group – personal guidance
You will be seen, and get help with:
– adjusting the practices to fit you personally
– finding stability and calm instead of pushing
– building a sustainable practice
This often makes the whole difference.
After the course
When the course is complete, you’ll have a solid foundation to stand on, and can continue in our Ashtanga Mysore classes, where you:
– build a sustainable, regular, and long-term yoga routine
– continue practicing what you’ve already learned
– receive further guidance and keep developing your practice
You’ll also receive a practice sheet from the course to support your continued training.
One Mysore class is included in the price of this course.
With regular practice, the body begins to change.
You may notice that:
– your body feels more mobile and less stiff
– tension releases, especially in the back and shoulders
– you gain more energy, calm, and focus
Many people describe it as feeling lighter and more alive in their everyday life. We put life into your years, not years into your life.

Topics of focus
Topic 1: Finding your breath and Sun Salutations A – Healing through movement.
Topic 2: Movement with the breath – and stopping. The foundations for vinyasa. Full body breathing. Standing postures.
Topic 3: Seated postures and finishing sequence.
Topic 4: Practice philosophy
One Ashtanga Mysore – Group Practice class included
After this Saturday beginners class, you will be able to book one Ashtanga Mysore class where you continue practicing what you learned on this day, and then you will learn more.
In this way, we start to slowly slowly build up a sustainable yoga practice that is tailored for you, with the traditional Ashtanga Yoga sequences as a base.

Yoga Students Are Saying
“It helped me create structure in my days and improve my energy.”
-MATHIAS
“Alex’s Ashtanga classes give me a good boost. He explains the poses clearly and keeps the vibe relaxed.
The workouts are tough enough to feel progress but never too much. I also like how he listens to us, he offers easier or harder versions of each pose and has a safe option if your knees (or anything else) need extra care.”
-KIMMO
“My stress-related symptoms have started improving.”

Meet your teacher

This course is led by Alexander Lemberg, a long term teacher and practitioner.
12+ years teaching experience
6000+ hours of classes
Focus: safe, structured, beginner-friendly teaching
When I started teaching in my late 20:ies, I was lucky that most of my students were about double my own age. I learned to adapt the teaching and the practice to all sorts of body types and different ages.
Having my fair share of knee pain and knee injuries as well, I just love to help all sorts of people finding the joy of the ashtanga practice, and helping developing an effective and safe practice.
Teaching in English (suomi & svenska ok)
