Early Morning Mysore Practice with Alexander Lemberg + Introduction For Beginners

2nd week of June 9.6. – 15.6.2025

This is a special event, where you get to experience the transformational effects of the Ashtanga Yoga practice for a full week of daily morning yoga practice.

Practicing yoga in the morning when the whole world is sleeping is a beautiful and purifying experience that brings about transformational effects for body and consciousness.

The yoga practice has most benefits when practicing in the morning on an empty stomach. You can have a light snack before practice if you need, but try to leave your real breakfast until after practice.

Help! I haven’t practiced Ashtanga Mysore style before?!

Don’t worry. Be sure to join on Monday morning at 06.00. Your goal for the week will be to get a solid foundation in the standing sequence if you do not have experience in Ashtanga Yoga prior to this.

A heads up – we can only introduce a handful of new yogis to the Ashtanga Mysore practice during the morning practice. There are still spots open for beginners! What is Ashtanga Mysore?

Led class and philosophy on Sunday

On Sunday we practice the full primary series as a led yoga practice. You can join, or, actually you should join, even if you have not done the full series before 🙂

After the led practice on Sunday we will seek inspiration from the old text; Patañjali Yoga Sutras.

Requirement

If you are a complete beginner, please join on Monday morning at 06.00 for an introduction, and you will learn sun salutations and three asanas + a short & sweet finishing sequence during the first morning. You will practice for about 60 minutes the first morning with the introduction included.

Schedule for the week

Please note the all other evening yoga classes are on pause during this week. If you have an active month-pass it will be put on hold, and re-activated for the next week.

NOTE: In the Mysore classes everyone practices their own ashtanga sequence (this becomes clear in your first Mysore session), and thus, everyone starts and finished at different times. The time slot 06.00 – 08.30 does not mean that you practice from 6.00 until 8.30 (you can if you really want to), but more realistically people practice for about 60-90 minutes depending on how far you practice in the sequence, and if you practice fast or slow.

As you progress in the practice, the teacher gives you more asanas to include in your practice, and your practice becomes longer. Beginners do not start by practicing the full primary series, but maybe half :). You will get an individual goal for the week.

    If you don’t have a user profile already, a user account will be created for you with your first purchase.
  2. Book your classes in the calendar below with your Summer Special class pass (make sure you’re not using your regular class pass in case you have bought this Summer Special class pass)

You can pay online or select invoice to pay the course later, or with sports benefits (ePassi, Smartum, Edenred).

You can book with your regular class pass, but note that the classes for this special event costs 15 yoga credits instead of 10 yoga credits as in the regular weekly classes. You can not however book with your monthly class pass. Your monthly class pass will be put on hold during this week.

Choose your starting time

Choose your time slot for starting your Mysore practice in the morning (6.00, 6.30 or 7.00). We do the opening chant at 6.30.

You need to be logged in to use your Yoga Credits.

All course registrations are binding. We do not offer any refund paybacks, but should you fall ill you can compensate with a drop-in class of your choice, or keep your Yoga Credits in-house for future use.

Your spot is reserved when we have received your full payment for the course.
