About the week
Our summer special is back, with the opportunity to practice over several consecutive mornings while the rest of the city still sleeps.
We practice Ashtanga Yoga – Personal Practice with Guidance (Mysore), where you can find both calm and strength, and observe what happens in the body and mind.
Practicing early often makes the practice feel clearer and calmer, because the mind hasn’t had time to make up new stuff yet.
You arrive in the morning (choose your start time), practice your sequence, and receive individual guidance throughout your practice.
New to Mysore? That’s fine.
We introduce a limited number of new students at the beginning of the week (maximum 2-3).
We keep the groups small, with a maximum of 4–5 people per starting time. We recommend early booking.
Who this is for
- Complete beginners (join at least 3 days)
- Or you already attend Mysore classes
- Or you have practiced Ashtanga Yoga in led classes
This is not designed as a general beginner course—but a small number of new students (2-3) can be introduced at the beginning of the week.
How the practice works
In Mysore-style classes:
- everyone practices at their own pace (the teacher will let you know what to do)
- you start and finish at your own time
- the teacher gives individual guidance
Most people practice 45–90 minutes.
A solid understanding of the Sun Salutations is well enough to get started, and this is what complete beginners often learn in the first session.
